ABOUT ME

Probably not much different from you. Genuine guy who likes a laugh and getting to know people from different backgrounds. Have a soft spot for nature. Taking a year out of ´being responsible´to travel the world with my partner (Derek).

Like talking about politics, what makes us tick and random obscure topics. Been known to give it socks on the dancefloor and wander around the parks when visiting cities. For many reasons Argentina is special for me. Good, good people and fond memories.

PHILOSOPHY

Be grateful for what I´ve got, to try to show respect to others, to give something back and have some fun along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When couchsurfing I enjoy getting to know people and just letting the conversation flow. I think the minimum when staying in someone´s home is to be tidy, clean up after myself, show a bit of consideration and just be myself.

Plan to pay it forward when we get back to Ireland.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New to CS so only 2 days experience in Auckland so far last week at Eric´s place together with a fellow couch surfer Chris from Germany.

Overall I enjoyed it. Felt I should have been doing something in return other than offering to put him up in Ireland. Used to HelpX in NZ where we worked for half the day in return for food and board which we enjoyed so much.

Interests

Running, Hiking, Diving, Reading, Hooking up with friends, playing cards, Travelling - getting away from tourist hangouts and getting to know ordinary people in the countries I visit.
