About Me

I am a very adventurous person with a sarcastic sense of humor. My deepest passion is traveling and I absolutely love learning from new cultures. This interest guided my career interests toward international development.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be traveling the world with hopes of getting involved in international development projects. During periods of travel, I am hoping to stay with locals more than I stay with other travelers. My travels of the past have proven this to be the most effective way to learn the most from a new place.

Interests

My interests are wide reaching. Traveling and learning about the world goes without saying. I live a very healthy lifestyle, so I exercise daily and love eating healthy. I enjoy cooking and consider myself to be a pretty good cook. I am an avid reader, but almost exclusively non-fiction. I maintain the blog developmentsphere.com and enjoy writing and thinking of new ideas in international development.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all sorts of music. Basically anything that makes me feel alive. As far as movies go, I enjoy those films that make you think about and appreciate the value of life. And of course I love to laugh, so I enjoy comedies. I mostly enjoy reading books on democracy, economic development, sustainability, history, religion and life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? Okay. Completed the Camino de Santiago del Norte. This 880-km pilgrimage took 31 days of trekking across Northern Spain.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning. Everyone has something to share and teach another. Once we get to know each other, I'm sure all three of these will take place quickly.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook. I can make you laugh. I would love to share all of my travel epics with you and learn from your experiences as well. Most of all, a friendship.
