About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am an open-minded, spontaneous, curious and broadly interested person, and respectful in cross-cultural communication. I am always eager to make new friends and learn from people around...

ABOUT ME

Success in what i have been engaged is my personal philosophy. This is so due to the fact that god has created us to be successful and have a meaningful life on this planet. Unless and otherwise we strive to become successful in whatever type of occupation we are engaged in, our life will be meaningless and haphazard.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The accomplishment of my masters education is the most amazing thing that I've done in my life. The story is this one; University of Gondar (UoG) was the pioneer in commencing and delivering tourism related education both at BA and MA degree levels in the history of Ethiopia. Actually I attended my tourism and hotel BA degree education regularly residing at the university accommodation without no problems.

But the amazing phenomenon that happened in my life is related to my MA degree education. As soon as I heard the commencement of MA degree education by UoG, I applied for examination to be qualified thereby to be in a position to attend the education. Then I passed the exam scoring the top result among other candidates and started the education by my own expenses that include tuition fee and transportation costs from Bahir Dar to Gondar i.e. 180kms weekly. To reduce my costs I applied my employing org to sponsor me. However it didn't accept my request and I didn't obtain another sponsor also. Hence I continued the education by myself; thinking my very internal/heartfelt hope that I would be the winner at the end.

During that time especially two problems were just challenging me. These problems were the low level of my monthly salary and the unwillingness of my employing organization to attend the education. You know I used my salary for food, house rent, tuition fee, cloths, and many other recurrent costs. Imagine during that time there was also a high cost inflation in Ethiopia thereby how difficult it would be for my survival........... My employing org was also just doing many incompatible activities against my education days deliberately; like wanting me to go to field works for longer days so that my education days would be violated due to field works etc. Actually I tried my best not to surrender my hands for such type of negative actions and I stand against these trials with full of patient; but the most unforgettable action taken by the deputy head of my org against me was just ordering the finance personnel not to give me a one month salary and I lost that salary as punishment of not going to a very far place for many days for field work. Again imagine how this action would just challenge me........

Despite the very serious challenges that I just mentioned, on the latter days, to do a research for my graduation purposes I requested and obtained 3 sponsoring organizations thereby obtaining about 100,000 Ethiopian Birr. This birr covered everything that I paid for the education, transportation, etc and it was excess by 50,000 birr. So my immediate thinking was just related to the help of the almighty God and positive thinking and endeavors of human being. In other words if someone is so committed and try his/her best endeavors to achieve a success about which he/she is dreaming of, definitely, he/she'll become successful in spite of the fact that some obstacles may inflict problems somehow upon him.

So, that is why my philosophy is highly related with success in what ever type of activities I am engaged; in any environment or any situation; be it favorable or unfavorable!!!

Hence I definitely advise any body to be extremely hopeful, passionate, commuted, and confidant enough in striving to realize his perceived and abstract dreams. This is just true that I proved personally. Listen shortage of money, lack of time, evil activities of other jealous or bad spiritual people, etc would never be in a position to hinder one's dreams in becoming his/her bright reality; rather they could be the engines that strengthen and enhance his/her success. On the other hand the real obstacles will, definitely, be lack and loose of hope, passion, commitment, dependent, and confidence, etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do have a good and wonderful knowledge of tourist attractions of Ethiopia; especially Amhara Region. I do also have a good theoretical and practical knowledge of hotel and tourism related business and entrepreneurship. Especially those who want to invest in hotel and tourism related businesses and even in any other businesses I can provide a good consultancy services.I want to learn and know more about success in every field including business, customer satisfaction, satisfaction of coach surfers, tourists and other travelers. I do have practically proven experience about tourism development, hotel development, tour guiding, etc that I can share to others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can provide for my guests the best things to do in terms of cheap, comfortable, and clean services and products to have for transportation accommodation (if they want to do so), site visitation, etc.

I can share my historical knowledge of the World, Africa, Ethiopia and many more local places I know. My historical knowledge is not the only one to be shared to my guests; rather the other components of tourist attractions including natural, cultural, and recreational ones can be shared by me as I do have both the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of tourist attractions and tour guiding.

I can share what I've acquired through education and practical exposures in hotel, tourism, and the general hospitality philosophies, research, development, marketing, promotion, and proper customer handling.

In addition I can share my ability in ARC GIS, and Google earth soft wares and so many more soft wares that I acquired through short term trainings and my personal endeavors.
