About Me

ABOUT ME

My friends being my friends would probably describe me as weird, but that's ok as they're weird and I figure it's all relative.

I'm fairly easy going/laid back. I'm incredibly content with staying in at night and watching a movie or reading a book, but if you want to put together an epic plan to wear Star Wars costumes in the middle of the city on a hot summer night I'm there. One thing I've realized is that I don't care that much about possesions (except maybe cars, but that's because I equate cars to freedom for the ability to move all over the country) but do care about experiences. I went back to school a few years ago while holding down a job and found that I didn't have much time for those epic experiences anymore. Now I'm trying to make up for that by traveling the world to try and figure out what makes this planet tick.

Interests

Well, unfortunately the past few years have been mainly about work. When I did have free time it was usually spent hanging out with friends--whether that was playing hockey, going skiing, or dressing up as Chewbacca and going to Roller Girl matches. I also enjoy movies and used to do quite a bit of clowning around making/editing short films and videos and entering them in film contests. Right now I'm trying to get out of my sheltered comfort zone of cold Minnesota and see what I can of the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the most amazing thing from recent history that comes to mind was seeing the Space Shuttle Endeavour launch from Florida last year. It took me three trips from Minnesota to Florida before I was able to see a succssful launch but it was incredibly worth it--the sight and noise of seeing the shuttle take off is by far one of the most beautiful and indescribable things I've seen. (I've been a big space/shuttle fun since I was a little kid though so I'm sure some may not get as excited about it as I did.) :)

Another one would definately have to be the Grand Canyon. I went there as an afterhought while on a road trip across the USA (I love road trips and take them all over the USA once or twice a year). Seeing pictures and video of the Grand Canyon does not even begin to do it justice. If you're ever i that area of the USA it's completely worth it (even if it means driving way out of your way) to spend some time there.
