I love to dance, have fun, and meet new people while constantly learning something new! For me, it's all about living in the moment and living life to the fullest.

I'm Filipino. I was born in the Philippines (no accent, thank God LOL) but was home schooled until I was 6 because I was lucky enough to jet set with my parents as my dad worked for GM as an auditor. I've lived in South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Japan, and Singapore. After living in the Philippines for a couple of years we moved to the Metro Detroit area when I was 9. I went to school at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, then lived in Chicago, Northwest Indiana, Seattle, and New York. Currently, I live in Des Moines, Iowa as I get re-centered with my business career.

I speak three languages - English, Spanish, and Tagalog. I'm conversationally competent in the latter two but really need to immerse in Spanish to finish off being fluent. I hope to travel for immersion trips next year and since I love to dance Latin (Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, & Zouk) I can kill two birds with one stone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing because I had a friend who hosted one and I thought it was an awesome idea. I'm not shy and love to meet new people and go on adventures and sometimes random interactions can turn into life long friendships.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm all about knocking things off the bucket list. I've skydived; I've swam with dolphins, whale sharks, and turtles; I've ran a half marathon; I've traveled. I think what's on the list is to do a hot air balloon ride in the Loire Valley.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love Bachata and actually teach it professionally. Dance is my happy place. Other than that, I enjoy working out and also training in Muay Thai and Wing Chun Kung Fu. So MMA and martial arts are definitely my second hobby because I really don't count working out as really a hobby. I'm also a professional violinist (taking a break currently) as well as a professional photographer. Although I can be outdoors-ey, I'm more of an urban / city guy.
