About Me

I am very spontaneous. Or so, I used to be. I miss traveling: getting on planes, road trips, and visiting new places and indulging in the surrounding culture and environment. I've lived in Virginia most of my life but have been all over the United States (from the West coast to the East coast) and have enjoyed traveling so much. I haven't traveled in a while when I found CouchSurfing and I really want to start again!
I'm a 2015 Graduate from Liberty University with a B.S. in Communications - Cinematic Arts (Screenwriting) and I'm pursuing my career as an on-set filmmaker and full-time writer. A lot of my inspiration comes from the environment itself, which is why it has become so critical that I start traveling again. I enjoy meeting new people and being invited into their home and family. I'm hoping one day to be a host myself.
I enjoy watching movies, writing, sight-seeing, traveling (of course!), and trying new things in the world around us and experiencing different cultures. I want to experience a safe and sound traveling and couch surfing adventure, and I'm hoping to find hosts to help make my dreams of traveling come true.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I desperately want to travel and see other cities, states, and countries. I haven't traveled in a while since I've been finishing up my undergraduate degree, but I am excited to find this site to get me back on the road and experiencing life again. A lot of friends have recommended me to this site and its safety aspects and registration process. Now that I've signed up, I'm hoping to give it a go and really start seeing the world.

Interests

I love writing, traveling, and filmmaking in every aspect. To visit different cities and see the world through the eyes of the people hosting me would be such a blessing and detrimental to my experience and furthering my career and creative process as I pursue the profession as a writer and filmmaker. I love watching movies, helping people cook (as an assistant, I'm not that great haha), trying new foods, and conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books

This list would be endless as my pursuit and current profession as a filmmaker is founded in movie and books, and music. Currently (and possibly permanently) my favorite author is Neil Gaiman. His writings are incredible. A favorite recent film I watched would be Mad Max. Music is definitely Nirvana, The Dresden Dolls, and Alkaline Trio. My favorite directors are Tarantino, Scorcese, P.T. Anderson, Wes Anderson, Richard Linklater, and Jeremy Saulnier.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wrote and directed a short film! It was tentatively titled "Blisters of Burnside" and I've since hid it from the world and kept it to keep me motivated in making something better.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories, laughter, and experience of travel and life events. I love becoming a part of a family (group of people/hosts) and getting to know them and making close friends and connections that I can refer and trust while pursuing the things in this world that make me happy.
