I'm really big on daily self improvement, and I try to give each moment my undivided attention regardless of what I'm doing.
I like to think I'm pretty responsible and earnest, and I like to maintain a good balance between socializing, learning, being creative, and having alone time.
But I'm also a strong proponent of "fuck it" days ,in which I drop everything and go do something ridiculous. Usually once a month, twice if finals are coming up.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Nowadays I just love meeting new people. You meet more interesting people at couchsurfing events than in an entire year of regular life.
Music composition: I play fingerstyle acoustic guitar and sometimes -after a couple beers- sing.
Muay Thai/Running: These activities are when I feel most present and fulfilled (:
Reading: I love sitting down and visiting a different world.
Languages: My goal in life is to become fluent in 10 languages and become an interpreter/translator!
Fuck it days: Everyone should have one day a month when they put their game face on and commit to some randomness and/or debauchery.
Music, Movies, and Books
My itunes consists almost entirely of songs uploaded to my computer via external hard drive by a 50-year-old Uruguayan man, and pirated copies of Michel Thomas language courses.
It's basically a bunch of weird shit, and I listen to all of it.
Movies: Cloud Atlas, Mulan, V for Vendetta, The Pianist, Wayne's World.
Books/Authors: Richard Bach, Herman Hesse, Les Miserables, Leo Tolstoy, Franz Kafka.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sleepwalked through a Japanese intersection after passing out on a bench and spent the rest of the evening drinking coffee with a lovely woman from Dubai.
Passed college algebra (not bragging).
Teach, Learn, Share
Guitar lessons, linguistics rants, random words in random languages, interesting tales and events from 2 years spent hitchhiking and playing guitar for money/food.
