ABOUT ME

Hi everyone my name is Jon! I am new to this whole couch surfing thing. I am looking for new adventures and to meet new people. I am particularly interested in creating new connections in Quebec specifically because I am currently attempting to learn French as best I can. I live approximately 6 hours away from Montreal so I figure creating new connections in the city would be a great way for me to accomplish my goal of becoming a fluent French speaker.

Aside from languages, I am also looking to get out of my boring and routine life and embrace new places, new activities, and new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never couch surfed before!

However I did live in Saganuay, Quebec for five weeks this past year with a French family while taking a learn-French program. This experience was probably the best five weeks of my life! I learned so much about myself and about other people. I love the experience of meeting new people who come from very different backgrounds to myself and bring new things to the table.

Interests

French, reading (nonfiction mostly, with the exception of the series A Song of Ice and Fire), travel, TED Talks (watch at least one a day), food (one of the best parts of travel), interacting with a diverse group of people.
