I'm transitioning into the 3rd major phase of my life after being a child, unschooling children, and now I'm discovering my passions in my life after children.

I'm kinda shy and fairly quiet, but I love being around people, especially people who like to talk about deep, interesting things.

What you focus on in your life you bring into your life - so I try to focus on the positive - gratitude, authenticity, wonder, wisdom.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm good at providing a healing, tranquil space. If you're tired from traveling, you'll find rest and a comfortable bed at my home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The experience I'm most grateful for is when my daughter, her friend, and I got stuck in Portland in the snow. It had taken us 4 hours to drive 4 miles on I-5. The friend convinced an unschooling family to take us in for the night. Once we got on the surface streets we were able to go the 10 miles to their house in about 20 minutes. I was SO happy to get out of the car!

The family was celebrating Hanukkah and were very welcoming. We didn't have any sleepover supplies with us, but we didn't care.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I actually like teeny-bopper movies (Easy A, Pretty in Pink, etc.) and romcoms. I love Gilmore Girls and West Wing.

Music - favorite genre is singer-songwriter. I like kind of soft alternative - new is better than tired old for me and music. I love a good dance beat as well. Can't stand country or Opera.

Books - Chick Lit - you know, book club kind of books. I also like anything by Seth Godin.
