CURRENT MISSION

I'm traveling Brazil for the next couple months and am trying to soak it all in. The people, the music, the food, the culture, and nature.

ABOUT ME

I am from a small town in the U.S. called Red Bluff, California. I have four sisters and my parents are teachers. I grew up with a love for music and culture, spent time living in Singapore during high school, and after graduating from the University of Oregon with my journalism degree have spent some time traveling Brazil. There is something about the culture and lifestyle in Brazil that wakes me up. Did I mention I am REALLY into filming? I like to make small videos about pretty much anything!
As a musician, I am really interested in hearing as much Brazilian music as possible. This year, I am in the works of writing my first solo album, which will be greatly inspired by all of the great music I have heard and played during my travels, and my North American folk roots.

PHILOSOPHY

Look for the beauty, and be what you want to see. Strive for excellence in all that you do. Do not take life too seriously. Try new things. Be a friend. Leave things better than you found them. Make music. Make laughter.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My experience with internet traveling is still broadening. I have had a couch surfer account for some time but am just now starting to use it, after a positive experience with a similar stranger/accommodation site, Workaway. I would like to meet new people and hear new music. I am low maintenance, but would like my own room, if possible. In exchange, I bring a positive energy, my guitar and songs, respect, and stories!
