ABOUT ME

Wacky, imaginative, fearless and free. Iv just left a successful career in theatre in the UK to spend time traveling and exploring new life choices. I guess its kind of 30 something mid life crises. I found that all work and no play made Jo a very dull girl! I'm a very open and fun loving person and I really love meeting new people. I have found that traveling on my own is the best way to do it as you are forced to be more brave and open to new things. This is what I want to be and I hope to be meeting and staying with like minded people. But...Please don't think I'm here to find people to have some "sexy fun". I'm open and friendly but not looking to hook up with randoms. Just putting it out there.

I try to live by the Bill and Ted philosophy. "Be excellent to each other".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time couchsurfing but because of being on tour with theatre shows for many years I am used to going into strangers houses to stay in spare rooms. I always make a point of treating them and there homes with the greatest respect and curtsey.

My mum has also just bought me some armor plated pyjamas LOL

Interests

A very big part of traveling is the opportunity to take photos. I'm an armature photographer and I'm trying to develop my skills as I travel around. To me the most important thing is to capture the moment, to get that magic shot that tells a story or emotion. I hardly ever edit my photos and that is usually restricted to making them black and white. I'm a purist. I will spend most of my time wondering round taking photos witch is at least a cheep hobby after you buy the kit

Music, Movies, and Books

Any and every horror film going. Good, bad and downright disgusting! Also anything Akira Kurosawa.

Books are all Horror / Fantasy / some SiFi.

Music is a bit everything but not an obsession.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching a huge flock of hawks and eagles attack each other mid air over the salt lacks in Sri Lanka.

Laying on the sand at Mission Beach, Australia. There was a power cut so no light for miles around. About 12 of us just lay there looking up for about an hr, not saying a word. I have never seen so many stars!!!!

Being on the back of a moped in Kuala Lumpur. One of the locals was showing me around and I had never been on a bike before. We weaved and zipped around and it was amazing. Not quite so full on as Thailand but still invigorating and frigging scary!!!
