About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To remain in touch with my true self. To wander, travel, explore, and fully experience and love life.

ABOUT ME

Hello,
Sometimes I refer myself as The Raw Traveling Yogini. I am passionate about the health benefits of a raw, clean diet, I love to travel, and I am yogi. So it goes together. :)
When in touch with my true self, my soul tells me to travel and explore. I am a nomad by nature, loving to experience new places, making many friends and connecting with others. I strive to live simply and humbly, giving everything I can to whomever I can, whether it be a smile and joy, or time and help.
I am very passionate about health and wellness, from physical activity, to mental and emotional health, to spiritual growth and awakening.
I am a person of genuine nature, with smiles and joy illuminating me. I fall in love with the experiences of life, not the material possessions. I love to learn, whether through intellectual conversation to reading an excellent book to watching a documentary, I love to learn and see new perspectives on subjects. I am here to continue my travels, learn, explore, give back, and develop my mind and spirit.

PHILOSOPHY

I have had a few hard lessons, but I wouldn't change them for anything. They have shaped me into who I am, and I have learned many things from them. I've learned to let it go and let the magic flow. I have found when I listen to my heart and intuition, that I am guided without fear or worries; that I am simply at ease, and just know that things run smoothly. To not repress myself due to fear, but to be conscious of my actions and decisions, and have a constant awareness. To embrace life, love what is already here and let things be as they are, while moving forward. To give anything I can back to the world, to pass it on. To smile and laugh, to simply enjoy experiences. To live healthily and happily. To see the beauty in all. To be filled with light and love and be present in the NOW.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a helping hand whenever one needs it. I taught yoga, and would always love to offer free classes. I write a health blog for others to learn and read about health related topics. I also have experience in raw food cheffing and teaching about the benefits of raw food nutrition.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met one lovely lady so far in Seattle! I look forward to other surfing experiences.

Interests

Green rolling hills, mountains, the desert...being connected in nature. But also exploring cities and seeing what they have to offer. Running, hiking, camping, snowboarding, playing handheld drums, yoga, meditation, health food, raw foodism, reading, writing and documenting my experiences, gardening, listening to stories, telling stories, live theater or music performances, teaching, learning, painting on faces and canvas, loving life and letting the magic flow into it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a yoga student come to me. It was her first time doing yoga. She had Muscular Sclerosis , and could barely balance on her left side. She was very shaky and her MS attacks were triggered by stress. With a family and a grand baby at home, plus a full time stressful position at work, her MS attacks were hard to avoid. After coming to me for a few months of yoga, her condition dramatically improved. She was able to go into full balancing poses on the left side. She also wrote me saying how much yoga has helped her mental mind state too, and how she feels less stress and thus has fewer and less sever MS attacks. Helping someone this significantly was truly a fulfilling experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn from people who have seen and experienced much. People who are at inner peace and can provide tools to help others along the path. I would love to give free community yoga lessons to give back. I want to learn more gardening, meet people who run and own wellness facilities, so I can learn from their practices and values.
