ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Josh. :D I am happy-go-lucky student from Vancouver, Canada. I recently returned back home from studying abroad in Belgium for six months. Currently, I am finishing up my last few classes and working part time at a startup in Vancouver. Looking forward to hosting and meeting lots of interesting people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love getting involved in the community. I have held several positions in residence and planned events for students. In additon, I also lead campus tours at my university for prospective students to come visit and see what an amazing place it is.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed with friends a few times. Most recently, on my travels around Europe this past year.

Interests

I love meeting new people! I am very very very outgoing and find it interesting to hear different stories from people's travels and backgrounds. I love walking around and exploring new places, understanding the culture, and going out for a great night on town. I am a business student, so I love discussing current affairs and just general thoughts about life interests me. Playing piano has also been a large part of my life. I have been playing since I was five and used to be a concert pianist. Now I enjoy jamming and improvising on my digital piano.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: 500 Days of Summer, High Fidelity, Being John Malcovich, Eternal Sunshine, Great Gatsby

Music: The Shins, Belle and Sebastian, Hey Ocean, The Lumineers, (pretty much all indie pop. I also love classical music and old jazz hits.

Books: Slaughterhouse Five, 1984, Cat's Cradle. Basically most satires or books that make you think about the world.
