CURRENT MISSION

I'm here to learn, whether it's during the classes I take in Utrecht or the people I meet, I'm interested in getting to see the world for myself and learn from the people I meet along the way.

ABOUT ME

I am a kind person who is open to hearing different perspectives and seeing the world from different lenses. My interests include trying all food, music (listening to it all and going to festivals on occasion), and some outdoors/fitness though I'm not a health freak. I am in my 3rd year out of 4 years of undergraduate study at Utrecht University in NL but I am originally from California and go to school at UC Santa Cruz where I study sociology. I am open to spending time with people who are generally chill, good people!

Night clubs, raves and concerts are lots of fun and I'd like to let loose at those events from time to time, but I am also fascinated by history, art, and cultural exhibitions. I can quietly soak in my stunning new surroundings or dance the night away to loud techno - I'm cool with both!

PHILOSOPHY

Love is the answer. I have an older brother who has Down Syndrome; he teaches me lots about patience, acceptance, and being a nice human being.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am gay and I prefer to stay with gay or gay-friendly couchsurfers. I would love to see different cities through the people who live there whether it's the local nightlife or beautiful museums.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never couchsurfed before so this is all very new to me but I'm excited. I am truly a very consciences person so I will make sure that I reciprocate fully whether that be making us dinner or just being a decent person who remembers to not make a bunch of noise when someone else is sleeping.

Obsessed with music over here! I would like to go into the music industry one day. Trying to get to a few festivals in Europe this summer!

I like everything from dubstep to folk. Most of my reading has been academic lately.

An amazing thing I've done was walking through the forest on a bright, hot day here in Utrecht. I got to take pictures with the sheep along the canal! :D
