Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hmm, it's a long story but I'll do my best to hit the pertinent points. After my stint in the military I returned to the Seattle area where I planned to find a good job and at 22 years old hadn't thought much beyond that. However before I landed that perfect job I was in a serious car wreck and broke both me neck and back. Life has been a bit of a challenge since then. Chronic pain as well as permanent damage to my spine make it impossible to hold down a regular job. Yet the state sponsored agencies in place to help people in my situation move with the breathtaking speed of a 'special needs' snail! I lost the boat or 'home' I was buying do to lack of income and since I am unemployed and still waiting for my SSI to come thru I need to rely on the kindness of others for a place to stay from time to time. I'd prefer to not be in this situation, I've always managed to take care of myself but until the state comes through with what I'm entitled to receive ... I need help!
