ABOUT ME

I'm a very outgoing person; most all of my close friends and acquaintances alike consider me a social butterfly. I've never met a stranger I couldn't turn into a friend, and travel is one of my most favorite things to do. Cultures fascinate me, and I am very open to trying new things and fresh experiences. I'm currently a college student in Lawrence, Kansas. I live in a large rented house with three of my best friends - all of which are from the same hometown in rural Kansas.

PHILOSOPHY

Trust until betrayed, forgive until death, love without precedence, and risk everything for what you stand for - this is where joy is found.

Absolutely none. All my travel living arrangements have been fairly traditional. Can't wait to change this!

I am somewhat of an adrenaline junky; I own a sport bike, am an avid snowboarder, and have little to no reservations regarding self preservation. My favorite thing to try in regards to traveling in a new region or country is to purposely get lost and try to find my way back. Favorite place in the entire world was the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans, LA. Fell in love with the broken people there.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

When I traveled with my father to Alaska in high school, we were thirty feet away from a large whale that surfaced directly beside our fishing boat. When I was in New Orleans for ten days working for Habitat for Humanity, I was able to see the hardest hit neighborhood from hurricane Katrina; when a huge majority of the people you cross paths with in a day are homeless, I dare you to walk away from that experience unchanged. "Why do what thousands are already doing? Do what no one else is willing to do. Go where no one else is going. Believe to see great things happen in your lifetime."

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Been a swimmer all my life - only competitive for half. Experienced in personal training as well. Fitness is a discipline I love to teach. Happen to own a longboard, so I suppose I could teach someone to ride. Also, own a motorcycle and am always open to teaching how to/giving a ride. LOVE photography, have my own small photography business, and I shoot a Canon 7d with a myriad of lenses and other equipment. Would be overjoyed to help someone step into that area of art.
