CURRENT MISSION
Trying to make something of myself in New York City
ABOUT ME
I'm 28 years old with a beard and shaggy hair. The most common doppelgangers I get are Shaggy from Scooby Doo, Jim from the office, and Jesus. I graduated college 5 years ago, jumped in my car and took off for Colorado. Since then, I have lived in Colorado, Illinois, Arizona, Indiana, and now New York. I have stayed with friends, rented rooms, and lived out of my car for extended periods of time. I love life, love this place we call home, and find truth and enrichment everywhere I go.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that everyone finds their own path to truth, and that no two paths look exactly alike. I believe that there is much more in the world that connects us than divides us. I believe there is interest and worth in every person, animal, and object that crosses my path. And I believe that everything happens for a reason.

Interessen
Movies. Nature. Opera. Ballet. Activity. Sports- football, basketball and tennis. Politics. Philosophy. Great books. Authentic or inspired music. Parties. Quiet introspection. Meeting people.
In fact, most everything qualifies as an interest. Things I am not interested in: bad reality tv, bad pop music. But I can stand them if need be.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
There are too many movies to list. My favorite movies from last year were: Upstream Color, Her, 12 Years a Slave, Stories We Tell, To the Wonder, Spring Breakers, Inside Llewyn Davis, All is Lost, Gravity, and Frances Ha. I am reading Voltaire's Candide right now, and recently finished Julius Caesar's account of his Campaign in Gaul and John le Carre's 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy'. I am currently listening to (discovering) Beethoven's String Quartets, and am also currently addicted to the soundtracks to Frozen, Her and Inside Llewyn Davis.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
I was really into the tv show Lost when it was on. I lived in Arizona during the last season that aired, and there was a concert event near the end that featured the music for the show written by Michael Giacchino. I intended to buy a ticket, but when I got online at the appointed time it was already sold out. Undeterred, I decided to go anyways. I snuck into the concert, which turned out to also be a gathering for the cast. After the event was over, I was about to leave when I heard the noise of a party on the balcony. Intrigued, I queried a security guard and found out it was the cast party. I had come so far, I figured, why not go a little further? So I snuck into the official cast party via the fire escape.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I have a lot of random knowledge, gathered from all corners of society...I actually can't think of a pure list of things I can pass on, but I promise you will hear something from me that you haven't heard before.
