Planning an epic Western Australia trip!
In summary, I'm Scottish, vegan and love to travel.
I first started travelling (longer-term) back in 2010 after spending an amazing six months in the USA interning at Farm Sanctuary (http://www.farmsanctuary.org/). Since then, I have lived, worked, volunteered and travelled in Australia for one year and New Zealand for two years (where I happened to meet my lovely boyfriend). I then went on to travel some of south east Asia; Vietnam, northern Thailand (which included a volunteer stint at the amazing Elephant Nature Park) and Laos, before embarking on another year of adventures in Australia.
I'm currently residing in Melbourne and have been here for the last six months, primarily enjoying the many vegan culinary delights the city has to offer. My Mr and I are now planning the next part of our Adventures - exploring Western Australia!
"Anything is possible" she believed, so she grew wings and flew like an angel to the stars.*
*she didn't know that the back of her dress was tucked into her knickers though! But hey, you can't have it all!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love attending Couchsurfing socials and meet fellow travel bugs, especially veggies/vegans with whom I can share my passion of food!
Vegan food (cooking, baking, sourcing new eateries). Animals. Environment. Volunteering. Travel. Skiing.
Music, Movies, and Books
I do enjoy a good old rom-com and old school action movies from the 80s. Paulo Coehlo is one of my favourite authors, autobiographies and war history books also get my attention. Lover of most music genres, especially if it's live, but two of my favourites include The John Butler Trio and Six 60.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteering at the Elephant Nature Park (http://www.elephantnaturepark.org/) for my 30th birthday in 2014. I'd recommend this experience to anyone travelling Thailand - be prepared for your heart to burst!
