About Me

Hear and be heard

I came from Paris on June 21st landing in Washington DC.

I rented a car to travel around the country for 3 months. I traveled already to NY, Pennsylvania, and Atlantic City.

I plan to drive to VIRGINIA, TENNESSEE, ARKANSAS, (or NC, SC, FLORIDA , LOUISIANA - I don't know for sure which direction I will take to get to TEXAS), CA, LAS VEGAS and COLORADO, going back from there to NY city and WASHINGTON DC from where I'll fly back to FRANCE.

I would like to stop along the way for 2 to 3 days in the cities I mentioned above, and stay with hosts who can either show me or tell me what to visit in their respective areas.

I also hope to make new friends and learn from my hosts, share travel experiences, conversations on various interesting subjects, activities, etc.

I am a French and an English teacher, as well as an interior designer.

I love all the good things in life: music, good food, literature, theater, movies, etc.

and have a few hobbies, among them electronics: I build computers and want to know about new technologies.

Last but not the least, I love to cook some nice French recipes for my friends and give a taste of my native language to people who request it.7

I have a "cool" attitude with an open mind and a lot of respect and tolerance regarding people's privacy, belongings, and ways of life.

I hope I can get to know you.

Thank you very much for your kind reply and consideration.

My best wishes to you and your family

reading, traveling, listening to all kinds of music, old movies, theatre, opera, concerts, meeting and making friends

Music, Movies & Books

As I already said, My first love is reading: French and English books: literature, philosophy, history, natural science, autobiographies but also thrillers, science fiction and true stories.

Movies: Mostly Old movies but also some not so old and some new ones. I don't like violence movies. Drama, good comedies, documentaries, thrillers, science fiction are what I favor most.

Music: all - ethnic, French, classical, and the 70's and 80's era: My wide collection includes: Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, and Neil Young.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I cooked my first turtle once when I was 18 years old: It was alive and when I put it in the boiling water, it turned over and fell on the floor, still alive: it was horrible. I still didn’t forget the experience and since then I never cooked a turtle or lobster again. So please don't ask me ! Lol.

The second great experience in my life was when experienced life in America !

Teach, Learn, Share

There is a song by a French Author, Jean Gabin - the principal actor in the original "les Miserables", who said at the end of his life:

"je sais, je sais, mais je ne sais rien".

This means " I thought I knew it all, but at the end, and at my old age and about to die, I came to learn that I know and knew nothing in fact.

I think this is absolutely true
