ABOUT ME

Born in Queens (NY) as the second child to a Filipina chemist/beauty queen mom and an Indian engineer dad, I was exposed to “foreign” culture at an early age. After shuffling my siblings and I back ‘n forth between (U.S.) coasts during my formative years, my parents finally settled down in Amish Country, Pa. I attended college in Philadelphia, ignoring my dad’s persistant urgings to pursue a career in medicine and opting for a degree in journalism instead. All set to move to NY upon graduation, I happened to land a great job, find a fantastic housemate/apartment and meet my wonderful boyfriend - all in Philly, all in the same month. And so, I stayed. Four years, a few jobs and a few countries later, I was finally ready to leave (the City of Brotherly) Love for Haight (San Fran)!
