We are both 64 been to 82 countries mainly Europe & Asia. Still like backpacking, hitching, camping, still think we are younger! Both have motorbikes, both risk takers. 9 years ago we packed our jobs in and are doing some "big trips" the first was on Peters bike the long way round to the Faro Motorbike Rally through France and Spain to Portugal and Azores. Then Albania, Montenegro, Romania and Bulgaria. Lots of ideas...
We love real ale, films, travelling, talking, photography, eating cooking infact anything to do with food, we pick up roadkill sometimes go foraging, love hiking and have had a go at loads of stuff! Water ski-ing, abseiling, parachuting, paragliding, aerodium, long distance walking, wine tasting, beer tasting, coastal foraging, etc etc
Stuff Janice is not great at!
Languages, Science, technology, shutting up (very talkative) knowing about famous people.
Peter is one of those annoying people who is good at everything! Sometimes he gets the heebie jeebies with heights and he goes all wobbly but he is an all rounder really!
You can guess Janice is writing this - I'm outspoken, not very diplomatic some people love that and others don't!
We have been together 45years - I know we don't look old enough - well its true since we were 14.

We used to be members of Servas where you paid a subscription but we found that when we went say to Gambia or Senegal the only members were affluent people in the cities who could afford the membership. We found it increasingly difficult to find hosts "out in the sticks!" We love cities don't get me wrong but when you want to get off the grid so to speak Servas didn't deliver. We have a spare bedroom, totally decorated with old maps from old trips, the lightshade is a paper globe, the curtains are maps and the bedspread is full of Taj Mahal, Eiffel towers and suitcases, not that we are obsessed with travelling!!

We attend a local film society so the more weird and wonderful the better
Possible fave films are Leolo and Cinema Paradiso?
Peters not a reader unless its motorbikes/car manuals. Janice likes a mish mash but really travel and food prioritise novels. I read 5 books at a time but don't read enough.
We love blues/rock/some reggae
Faves are Leonard Cohen, Black Sabbath, Johnnie Cash, Faithless, Gypsy Kings, Jeff Buckley. Only thing we hate is modern jazz...

we can both cook but Peter cooks by instinct Janice uses recipes but changes them if I don't have the correct ingredients.
Peter can do mechanics and fix most things
we are both tasters for real ale - beer - and we campaign for CAMRA
Depending on the time of year we pick berries/mushrooms etc
No matter how I try I am rubbish at languages - even REALLY simple like in Spain I ordered cidra but got citron so instead of alcohol I had lemon juice? In Poland I asked for a glass of hot water and was given a plastic funnel - after all these years now I dont try - Peter is good at languages.
We both have had motorbikes although Janice has just sold her 5th bike.
