I love to travel and learn and am interested in opportunities that will allow me to engage with people and communities around the world. I studied English literature and French language in college and have always had a deep interest in language, culture, and the arts. In my spare time, I love to read, write, and attend a wide range of cultural events. I like to try new things and am currently learning how to snowboard and swing dance. I also dabble with the piano. Professionally, I've been focused on communication, recruiting, and marketing with a focus on higher education here in the states.

I recently stepped away from my job in the corporate world after eight years to do some travel and learning. Before I jump into the next long-term gig, I'm hoping to explore a number of different areas around the world, and I would love the opportunity to stay with hosts who can provide first-hand insight into the local culture and community. When I return to the states, I'll plan to return the favor by hosting couchsurfers from my own home.

I am interested in many things! I love reading, writing, seeing plays, and watching movies. I particularly enjoy comedy. I love being outdoors. I hike and run. I like to ski and am learning to snowboard. I play volleyball. I volunteer with my local horticultural society and am very interested in learning more about planting and cultivation. I love to travel and try new things, particularly in the area of food! I also love to drink tea.

I am especially interested in learning languages and have some abilities in French that I could share. I'm also learning how to garden and would love to learn from anyone doing any kind of urban gardening/farming, as I'm somewhat new to this. Really, I am happy to learn anything new that I can.
