ABOUT ME

We are a married couple currently living in Seattle, WA. We recently returned from our Peace Corps service in Fiji. We lived in a traditional Fijian village in the Ra province of Viti Levu. While there we traveled to Australia and New Zealand. On our way home from Fiji we hit up as many coutries in SE Asia that we could in four months. The goal for the next few years is to get to know our new home....Seattle!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, we love meeting new people and seeing/experiencing new things. John lives part time in Alaska so while he is gone Leslie hosts females and couples...sorry single dudes...however..send us a message because if John is around you are totally welcome.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We surfed for the first time in August 2009 when we traveled around New South Wales, Australia. We have also surfed in New Zealand, China and Singapore. We hosted a few people while living in Fiji.

Interests

hiking, kayaking, travel (that is a given), skiing (snow not water), scuba diving and snorkeling, reading, yoga, painting, cooking/baking/eating, getting to know Seattle!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in a Fijian village was pretty amazing. Diving in SE Asia blew our minds!

Teach, Learn, Share

We can build small boats, identfy and catch fish, husk and scrape a coconut, speak Fijian and a bit of Hindustani, paint with dry pigment and egg yolk, make and consume "home-brew"
