ABOUT ME

I just moved to Kauai a few weeks ago after living in the Desert! So it is quite a change and so far I am loving it! I love all art forms: dance, music, art, theater, poetry, crafts, anything. I love to meditate, do yoga, engage in prayer and find natural means of expanding my mind. Being in nature is my home. The ocean, the mountains... I can spend hours in silence at beautiful places. I love people, animals, and children. I would love to meet someone interested in healing themselves, the earth, and everyone--- and who is not afraid to break the m-o-l-d!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have never couch-surfed or hosted. I've met some couch surfers and know some people who have hosted, and it has always seemed like a really nice cooperative experience. I am interested in becoming more involved as I learn more about it.

I am looking for somewhere to camp or live very cheaply for the month of April! If I can help someone out with a little extra rent money I would love to squat on your lawn!

World music-- Sufi, African, Spanish. Early american folk, Paul Simon,Bob Marley, Jazz jazz jazz, anything that's groovy and moovy and gets me swayin', Beirut has a nice sound, Krishna Das is wonderful, Deva Premal takes me to another place, Jimi Hendrix. Jai Uttal, Shimshai, Snatam Kaur, all those guys.

I'll pass on some things I've learned from local wise-people in the community:

1. There is a secret 'nectar' if one holds the tip of the tongue on the soft palate on the upper jaw of the mouth. My friend Jimmy, in his 60's learned this from Maharaji in the 70's. Good ol' southern wise man.
2. "Everyone is doing the best they can do until they can do better. And the ones who are doing better are doing the best they can until they can do even better. It's not about right or wrong, good or bad. It is what it is." - another local wiseman
3. You can mineralize distilled water with natural Aloe Vera goo, for an excellent cleanse.
4. The mind is like a parachute, it only works when it's open.
5. Beautiful smiles makes everything feel better, always.
