Improving my Spanish whilst enjoying life and learning how to be better at it

ABOUT ME

I like tea, cold beer, and Asian food. I like to dance, to cycle, to play football, to surf and to see live music. I have spent most of my life being political but am spending this year being me - learning spanish and about Spanish speaking cultures.

I love meeting new people who love meeting new people. Sharing a drink and a joke whilst learning about another perspective on life.

I am British but have spent the last 11 years living in Australia which is now my home to which I will return in the coming year.

I have an identical twin brother who lives in Buenos Aires

PHILOSOPHY

Appreciate the beauty of life and live it in a way that lets as many others as possible do the same.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My flat mate Loic is a Couch Surfer so we often host Couch Surfers in our flat in San Sebastian. Also he has arranged Couch Surfer social events to strengthen the Couch Surfing network in San Seb.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only been a member of the community since I moved in to my current flat 4 months ago. Since then I have hosted nine couch surfers from Germany, USA, UK, Mexico, and Australia. It´s been facinating to hear each story, and each new experience and I am eager to explore the community within Spain, Argentina and Australia.

I once staying in the mountains of southern Mexico with the Zapatistas learning about their struggle against rapacious capitalism and the tyranny of superstion. ¡Qué impressionate!
