About Me

I 'm running away from my job at the Circus in Bristol to travel for 2 months and headed to New Mexico then old Mexico this January & February 2015. I'm researching for my own artwork around contemporary archaeology & migration and mexican wrestlers - 2 separate projects! - as well as seeing what other artists are doing in different parts of the world. I'm really interested to meet local artists and activists and up for getting involved in projects although I'm not around for too long - particularly art based or with young people. I'll also be carrying ping pong equipment with me to see if i can get anyone into a game.... (I love it!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of electronic music, trip hop, old skool hip hop, funk, soul and some dirty disco. I love dancing and being silly on the dance floor.
I read loads, fiction as well as non - best recent: east of eden by John Steinbeck, Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood. I also had a year of reading retro sci fi classics - Dune, 2001 AD, Day of the Triffids... great historic political reads!
Films...:The Fall, Jaws, The Shining, 2001 - too many amazing films!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 6 years working in Bosnia after the war there - from buying a large truck and driving it full of food, books & clothing through snow straight after the war to undertaking human rights work in a UN administered area to organizing techno parties through Europe & Bosnia! Big life experiences which are still with me
