ABOUT ME

I'm a Californian displaced to the Midwest for school and loving everything I'm learning. I used to think there were only 2 parts of the USA: California and everywhere else. But being in the beautiful city of Chicago has changed all that and now my new mission is to try to visit as many places in the country (and the world!) as possible (in between studying and being a kid doctor).

In my other life, I used to be a theater major so I love shows and theater, especially musicals. My favorite is of course, Wicked.

I'm not huge into music but will pretty much listen to anything. Since I don't know much, I'm always open to learning about new bands that I've never heard of. So don't feel offended if I've never heard a song you love- its not you, its me.

I'm from LA, so of course I am a Laker fan. Boo if you want. I also went to USC for undergrad so its Trojans all the way.

Food, food, and more food.

Travelling of course.

Indigenous people and cultures. One of my favorite parts of Guatemala was all the colorful clothes the indigenous women wore. It's so amazing how such culture and customs has been able to live on despite the technology-driven world we live in.

Healthcare disparities and community health, specifically how to improve access to healthcare. I believe healthcare is a right, not a privilege.
