About Me

a boat without an anchor

I love camping, hiking, and most sports. I build amazing camp fires and enjoy swimming in lakes. Thunderstorms and snow are my two favorite weather conditions. I spend most of my day working with underprivileged or mentally disabled children.

I'm all for world peace- Be the change you want to see in this world. It is important to be a citizen of the world; to see the world in every color.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

You have to trust me, I do community service like it's my job. I try to be a good guest and a great host to make people feel safe and happy. Hopefully my personality is enough to make that happen.

No complaints- in fact, all smiles for this girl. I am actually grateful for my experience through couchsurfing

Music, Movies & Books

I love romance comedies and horror films (the Asian ones- I worked at a psychiatric unit so it only fits to enjoy psychologically disturbing movies). I listen to just about any kind of music (love soft rock the most). If we have to get all technical I'll name a few of my favorites: the Killers, Celine Dion, Mark Schultz, and Rascal Flatts. I love sad love songs. I love Jane Austen and Stephen King novels.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I saw the first black president get elected in America (well, I live to tell the tale, but I was actually in Edinburgh at the time of the elections).

I also have traveled quite a bit throughout Europe without knowing any of those languages.

Teach, Learn, Share

I took a costume design course for one term at uni so I can teach people how to work a sewing machine. I would like to learn more about history (I find it sort of boring now so whoever can make it interesting for me is gifted). I love sharing!

To take this more seriously, I would have to say I am very patient and people have learned to appreciate that.

Countries I've Visited

Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Spain, Vatican City State

Countries I've Lived In

Korea, Republic of, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
