Overview
About Me
Ukrainian-born, NYC-raised. Lived in Paris for a short while in 2012. Huge backpacker and traveler!
I'm currently working at an interactive film start-up as a creative producer and camera assistant.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I learned early on in my solo-travels that you can be in the most far away location standing on the sidewalk alone with your camera and the hustle&bustle happening all around you but not including you.
Really, it's the people you encounter - both local and travelers - who take you on those crazy treks at 3AM in the morning in Lago Atitlan, who share with you their tips in a tiny 20 person room in Barcelona, who introduce you to that local night market a few long winded streets from their apartment in Taipei, and who teach you how to make those places you "visit as an outsider" come alive.
Interests
A high school teacher, who was the grand age of 70+ and the most energetic person I've ever met, once said, "never stop learning and seeing." This line has been etched into my mind ever since.
My first love is exploring -- new places, new people, new cultures, new art, new films. Photography. Videography. Dance (that wacky kind where you just break out in movement on the streets). Reading up on new technology, start-ups, and science. Various conceptual art and design work.
