I'm a writer, student, and explorer looking to live deliberately and experience as much life as I can before I'm old, worried, and boring. A mountain-town, California native, I attend Brown University, where I'm double majoring in English and Environmental Studies, with the hopes of never getting "a real job" and making some kind of an impact on the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Rather than booking a plane ticket from California to Brown University, I decided a cross-country backpacking and train trip would be a lot more exciting— you know, just trying to do the young, reckless young writer on the American frontier thing. Along the way, I'll need some kind people to set me up on any kind of couch or floor, in exchange for a smile and a few stories.
Nature is my passion. I volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center, where I care for bears, bobcats, deer, raccoons, coyotes, hawks, eagles, and other wildlife. I read an awful lot, and would love to share an engaging conversation about literature. And I care a lot about the environment— policy, literature, sustainable development— all of it!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Surfed down a volcano in Nicaragua— then took my sister to the Nicaraguan hospital for stitches.
