Hello !

I'm Julien, I love travelling around the world and meet people and make new friends. I usually travels with Hostels but I decided to be even closer to people, to natives and to share a bit of their lives the time of a stay.

I am open-minded, I love travelling and love meeting people. I have different taste of music, I love evrything from classial music to electromusic. I love science as it is my former education but also Arts and Cinema. I like the good old fashion movies back from the 60's as well as Ghibli anime movies, I really love every kind of arts and I am curious about it. I am also someone who believes in the power of humanity, the power of individual and the power of the will. I also follow an ecological way of life and I respect nature.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wanted to try a new human adventure during my trips. When I was in a flat share in Germany we hosted a lot of couchsurfers from all around the world and it was always a pleasure to talk to these travellers and soon friends about their trips culture and all. I was very happy to be part of their adventures !

Interests

I love everything as aforementionned. I used to play the piano for 12 years so I really like music and musicians and to share about it. I also like nature, walking around, skiing in the fresh air in the morning. Walking near the sea when there is a tempest, the forest and animals.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Stanley Kubrick, Sydney Pollack, David Lynch and Cohen brothers movies and many more. I also love French movies from the new wave or Italian movies of Lucchino Visconti or Felini movies especially 8 1/2. I also like Wong Kar Wai movies as well and Hayao Miyazaki animes.The favorite movies in my mind right now are Metropolis (Fritz Lang) and Le roi et L'oiseau (Paul Grimault) but there are many more that deserved to be cited here as well.

Concerning books, I really like Stefan Zweig novels and books, Kafka, John Irving, Poesy of Baudelaire, Rimbaud. I also love Dostoevsky.Of course french writters like Zola, Maupassant.... I wont write more it's allready enough haha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A road trip in China for 3 weeks. Yea that would be it, I dont consider my life to be boring but I don't consider it really odd and full of excitement every day.
