About Me

안녕하세요, Hi, Halo,

I'm a student who studies advertising and English literature from South Korea.

Two years ago, I've lived in Hannover, Germany shortly for 6 months during my first exchange student experience, and since then I became fond of learning new cultures and meeting new people.

That's why I started my second exchange student experience in Preston, England, and just about to start travelling around after finishing my study.

So far I've been to couple of cities in Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Netherlands, England, Spain, and France,
and planning to visit more countries before I go back to my home in far away on the other side of the globe :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, I've already experienced casual way of tourism, like seeing important touristic sites, visiting museums, and so on.
Every time I visit the cities for tour, I feel like I was only seeing the surfaces of the cities, I mean, just touristic aspects of the culture.

I'm hoping Couchsurfing could give me an opportunity to discover more about different cultures that I'm encountering and give me special memories attached to them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm quite into alternative music. My favourite is Radiohead (I know they are a bit old considering my age). Lately I'm listening to Alt-J, and I'm also open to other rock music genres.

Apart from studies related to my majors, I'm interested in film study so I took several courses related to them. I know it sounds weird but I kinda like The Godfather series, and my favourite tv drama is Penny Dreadful.

After being impressed with Penny Dreadful, I'm trying to read some English poems. But truthfully told, even though I study English literature I know almost nothing about poetry...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Writing my profile this detailed I guess...

Or being in a distant continent and trying to explore would be an amazing I've done and doing.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want, I can teach you some basic Korean conversational phrases, or even how to read the letters(it's incredibly easy once you get used to the letter system).

I wish I could learn a bit of other foreign languages if I can :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I might be able to cook you some Korean dishes if I can get appropriate ingredients (honestly I'm not a proficient cook but I can try with my knowledge learnt from my exchange student experiences).

Or just chat with you talking about anything.
