Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Even if I had all the money in the world, I'd still couch surf and hostel! I want to travel and experience the world - not just see it. I could travel with the same small group of people, and stay at an American chain hotel and sit around drinking at the hotel bar. But I could have that exact same experience at home, so whats the point of being on the road?
