Overview
About Me
Born in Ireland of an Irish mother and German father I've been a journalist forever, working in text, TV, radio across most sectors, economics, music, fashion, environment, politics, lifestyle sports. I teach journalism at the American University of Paris, work as a media trainer and host conferences. I live on the eastern edge of Paris, which has been my hometown for over 20 years.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting people, getting to know them, exchange experiences. I think that most people, given the chance, would rather share than doing things in isolation, but fear of the unknown keeps them from trying it out. Couchsurfing seems a great way to share.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Classical, jazz, David Bowie, Leonard Cohen, Paul Simon
Movies: not fixed to any one genre. Good acting, good filming, a good story and fabulous dialogue do it for me every time. Completely addicted to American, British and Scandinavian TV crime series.
Books: I switch between fiction -- often crime novels -- and non-fiction, often psychology, self-help or some other topic that interests me at any given time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Covered the fall of the Berlin Wall for television. Made Cate Blanchett laugh. Raised four kids.
that's already three things
