About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To surf my first couch...!

ABOUT ME

I am a 20 year old college student who thrives on the chance to talk about and learn of other people and cultures. I am a Christian, and I strive to love all people and the world! =) I will graduate with my associates degree this summer, and then plan to major in Global Studies with a double concentration in East Asian studies, and European Studies. Japanese is my favorite language to learn, however I am not nearly fluent, and am still a beginner/intermediate. I will one day for sure be fluent! I hope to travel the world, and by the end of my life be content with where I have been, and what I've accomplished! After my bachelor's degree, I plan to get a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies and then do international missions / social work, along with my girlfriend, and hopefully future wife, of whom is a writer! I am not so much interested in being rich or famous, but rather be content with what I do, and live my life among the average folk! I enjoy meeting new people, and am open to all kinds, shapes, personalities and sizes! =D I have a very optimistic outlook on life, and am a very happy individual. I enjoy spending time with my close circle of amazing friends, but also enjoy having a nice group of acquaintances. Learning is becoming more and more of a passion in my life, and I want to strive to be the best I can be in all I do. I could keep talking on and on, but I think I should call it quits for now! Talk to me and get to know me more!

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy of life is to live it to the fullest of course, and don't be afraid to take risks. I am a Christian! I want to help the world to the best of my ability, and do international missions/social work as a career!
Oh, and here is one of my favorite quotes that engages my philosophy of life...
"While it's tempting to play it safe, the more we're willing to risk, the more alive we are. In the end, what we regret most are the chances we never took."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to the couch surfing community, but I hope to become much more actively involved! I can't wait to have my first couch surfing experience! I personally am more than willing to host a guest, but I have not spoken to my parents about it yet, of whom I live with, so it would be up to them! If you are interested in visiting my area, then get in touch and I'll do my best to have an open couch! =D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I have not had a couch surfing experience! I hope to do so this summer. A friend and I are planning to. I can't wait!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open to any music with an appealing beat. I enjoy listening to a large variety of music. However, country and rap, or hard metal typically don't appeal to me (there are exceptions though!!). I love movies! Going to the theater and having a nice big bag of popcorn with friends makes for a great time. I like drama, romance, and action/adventure movies. LotR, any marvel movie, Benjamin Button, Gladiator, Big Fish... don't even get me started! As for books, I'm a pretty big fan of fantasy, and also fictional novels that tell a story in another culture, other than my own. I will also read anything someone highly recommends that sounds interesting!
