keep taking the hard road and forge great friendships
Always going. I love maps and old books, alleyways that lead to secret places, and that feeling when you get near the summit and look back over your shoulder..
A lot of things I love most are things I struggle the hardest at [dancing]. For a long time I didn't wear sunglasses or a watch - I just wanted to be wherever I was.
A bit geeky, athletic, love to cook [eat too!]. I'm more likely to be in a long conversation at night than a night club - but each are a lot of fun.
Live with an open heart an open mind and a few strong opinions. Never needed much and appreciate what I've got - my friends matter more to me than any *thing*.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm new :)
Photography, Camping, Cooking, Motorcycle trips, Asking ridiculous questions, running, solar power
Music, Movies, and Books
Right now I'm reading A Modern History of Britain. Next up is probably a Nick Hornby book. I like Fight Club, American Beauty, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, just was Edge of Love and really enjoyed it.
My music tastes bounce from singing Johnny Cash songs on the front porch with my friends to Ocean Colour Scene. The Black Keys, 80's has a special place in my heart, Ratatat, Spoon, Ghostland Observatory, ZZ Top, Eric Tessmer
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the middle of full July heat, I rode my motorcycle across Death Valley in California, and for this one moment the road passed under the only cloud in the blue sky and I felt the tiniest sprinkle of raindrops - and whoosh I passed back out of its slender shadow on the pavement back into the searing 125+ F heat.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've taught basic welding. One of my first loves is darkroom photography. I'm teaching myself how to cook at the moment! (i've been pleased with the results so far)
