À propos de moi

Not really much to tell. I'm a pretty straight forward person, though I tend to keep most of my thoughts to myself. I moved to Germany in early 2013 for work and now that i'm about to leave, I realize that I didn't do nearly as much traveling as I should have....so with what little time I have left, I'm going to do as much as I can.
I do like meeting new people, but tend to run into the problem of failing to find common ground with some.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I'm not really a frugal person, but I figure if I can save some money on a Hotel/Hostel, I'll be able to travel for a few more days and have a little more fun.

Centres d'intérêt

I'm into reading, watching movies/t.v., playing just about any type of game, hunting, camping, fishing, seeing new places(something that I haven't done nearly enough of).

I'm currently learning Dothraki, not a useful skill to have at all....but I don't really care, I'm doing it for me :D

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music:
I don't really have a favorite type of music, I can honestly listen to just about anything. But I'm not really a big fan of dubstep or most club music. If I listen to it, I want it to tell some type of story, not just be a bunch of loud noises.

Movies:
Boondock Saints, Matilda, National Lampoon movies, Monty Python, Night of the Living Dead (and sequals....not so much the remakes), 1920s-1960s horror movies (Nosferatu, Phantom of the Opera, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, etc). And many more.

Books:
My favorite book is The Princess Bride, but I'm also a big fan of the Forgotten Realms books (halfway through the Orc King series), the Bartimaeus Trilogy (halfway through book 2), The Da Vinci code series (just started Inferno), recently started the Game of Thrones.......maybe I could actually finish a book if I only read one at a time....

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I once went Deep Sea fishing and caught a shark....it wasn't a very large shark....but it was still a shark....

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Not a very useful skill to have unless you're interested in it...but I can teach you how to play Magic The Gathering, or do routine maintenance on a car, clean a firearm, chop down a tree, the proper way to peel a banana....the vastness of my skills are only overshadowed by their (seemingly) uselessness.

I would honestly like to learn as much as I can. I really believe that there is no such thing as a useless skill, or some pointless bit of information. Not every skill or bit of knowledge comes in handy frequently, but I would rather be able to do something and not have to do it, than to have to do it, and not be able to.

Every person you ever meet will know something that you don't, so every person you ever meet will have something to teach you.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

I'm a fairly good drinking companion, and can hold some type of conversation about just about anything.
