About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have two dogs being taken care of back home that I think about every day. I'm looking to finish the goals I've sought out so we can pick up where we left off.

ABOUT ME

I'm an extremely adaptable person who hopes to acquire my second language, as well as finish the black belt in martial arts I abandoned when I was 12 years old. Traveling first appealed to me way back when I first wanted to see the Northern Lights with my own eyes. I haven't gotten there yet, but I've been to some other places that are just as memorable to me.

As soon as I finished my bachelor's degree in English, I became an English teacher and have been teaching ever since. I don't think I'll ever be capable of sitting in a cubicle all day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Some countries I've stayed in I have plenty of photos of, but not much else. I never got the chance to ask any questions, find out more - you know, normal people stuff. Couchsurfing seems like the most powerful outlet for seeing a few new places, meeting a few new people, and swapping some stories along the way.

Movie - Indiana Jones

Book - The Call of the Wild, Jack London

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bet my Korean students they could not all get a perfect score on one vocabulary test. They proved me wrong. I had to shave my beard off since I lost the bet, and one of their mothers told me I was handsome for it.

Teach, Learn, Share

If anything is misunderstood in this world, it's a dragon. In Western culture, they are usually condemned as symbols of evil. In Eastern culture, they are usually revered as symbols of power. In the scientific community, they have never been, and in the world of fantasy, dragons have existed longer than any of us can know.

If you ever feel you don't have your shit together, at least you aren't a dragon.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some pretty good photos if you're interested in that kind of thing.
