ABOUT ME

I love the outdoors and am always looking for an adventure. I grew up in Chicago and have lived there on and off my entire life, taking time to live in Scotland, Spain, and a few other states in between. I think it's important to constantly keep exploring and to continue learning new things in life, and travel is one of the best ways to do that.

My wife and I are in the process of starting a nonprofit organization called "Conservation Atlas" and are currently on a two-year trip to visit conservation destinations around the world. More info at: www.conservationatlas.org

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a 104km hike to the Mayan ruins called El Mirador, in Guatemala - and it was amazing to stand at the top of the pyramids there in the middle of the rainforest, watch the sunset, and see the stars come out, knowing that it probably looked very similar when the Mayans were there 3000 years ago. I have also done lots of hiking throughout the Highlands of Scotland, which have left a strong impression on me and I hope to return many times throughout my life.
