I was born in Fredericton, NB in 1980. I have lived most of my life in New Brunswick, save for some time in Halifax and two trips to Ireland and two trips to British Columbia. I studied English Lit and History for 3 years at UNB before dropping out to pursue carpentry. I'm an easy-going fellow, at one time aspired to be an academic, but now mostly a blue-collar joe. I have 3 young sons, Elliott, Cooper and Sawyer, but unfortunately me and their mothers have parted ways. But things are looking up and I'm ready for another (productive) adventure!
I try not to get philosophical :P

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far just surfing, but as soon as I have my own place again I'll mos def be hosting!
Ah... Jackie in Prince George picked me up on the yellowhead highway west of Edmonton and we hit every beer store between there and Prince George. We got so loaded, but I ended up quite comfortably situated on her couch in the morning and then I hit the road again for Vancouver. Totally cool, seeing how that morning I had been staying with an evangelical family in Sherwood Park. They took me to church and everything. lol

Music, Movies, and Books
Music? I've loved Jazz since I was a kid... Diz, Bird, Monk, Brubeck... I like rock... esp the Pixies, the Clash, Chili Peppers, System, Avenged Sevenfold, all kinds... esp Hendrix.
Movies? Usual Suspects, The Big Lebowski, 12 Monkeys, Fear and Loathing, Waking Life... anything off the wall
Books? I've read some Herman Hesse, Hemingway, Kafka, Dostoyevsky, Atwood, I love William Gibson!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The mountains burning in the Okanagan Valley in '03... we were on mushrooms and we thought we were stuck in some kind of Lord of the Rings trip... Mordor! Besides that seeing my twin sons born at 34 weeks was pretty inspiring too. And kayaking on the Miramichi I saw an bald eagle once pluck a salmon from the river not 40 yards in front of me! I think he was showing off.
