ABOUT ME

Hey! I live in Minneapolis with my dog, Aspen, and roommate, Stephen. Aspen is an Australian Shepard rescued from a shelter in northern Minnesota. Stephen, a Belfast native, is an active sky-diver and film maker. I'm a nurse - working part time at the moment because I'm back in school studying to be a Family Nurse Practitioner. I love a good, clever sense of humor, flexibility, and people who don't take themselves too seriously. And I think that's how friends would describe me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None! Zero! I'm totally new to CouchSurfing, but at a house party a friend suggested I do because it "sounds like something you'd love." I grew up with several exchange students in our home, lived and worked in a homeless shelter for two years after college, and am frequently letting friends-of-friends crash at my place. So, while I've never *officially* CouchSurfed, I feel comfortable with the idea and excited to try it.

Intereses

I love gardening (especially rain gardens and eliminating turf grass!), canoeing, camping, reading, going to music shows, trying new restaurants, trying new beers, cooking at home, attempting to teach Aspen tricks, and playing ping-pong.

I'm mostly awe-struck by nature: the geysers in Yellowstone National Park, the lakes in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, established redwood trees in northern California, the fjords in Norway, and so forth. As a Minnesotan, I'm always impressed with the changing leaves, falling snow, first iris that breaks through in the spring... seasons are never tiring.
