ABOUT ME

Kailey is 23 years old and from Canada. Currently in Australia on a working holiday visa. Heading to Asia soon (Japan, taiwan, thailand, cambodia...). I study Anthropology back home and hope to get back into it when I feel like settling down again. At the moment I am just enjoying my life in Aus and taking in every minute of the relaxed lifestyle.

Mark is 25 years old and from New Zealand. Mark and Kailey (wow does it feel weird writing this in third person) met on a ski hill in Canada and have been inseparable ever since. Though currently living in Australia and from New Zealand Mark has lived in Dubai for a few years as a teenager.

We are an adventurous couple (Mark more than Kailey but I dont mind the influence). We dont party though we do enjoy the occasional drink.

So far we plan to be travelling until May, then we will be back home in Canada for a short time before heading out for more adventures. There will always be a place for the weary traveller when we are at home.

Im currently only surfing. Though one of these days we will have a couch of our own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I havent actually surfed on someones couch that I didnt previously know. Though I hope to do that in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Tokyo.

Interests

As does everyone on this site, I like to travel. I enjoy snowboarding and long boarding. I like to hike and swim while at my cabin. I like video games and movies though I don't seem to find a lot of time for those during summer... winter is a different story.

Music, Movies, and Books

Edgar Allan Poe, Star wars, Transformers, Batman. As for music I have even come around to liking country thanks to a girl I met last summer. I really love sharing music with new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ate at a restaurant in Switzerland where all the waiters/waitresses were blind. You went through a few black out curtains before you were taken to your table. You couldn't see anything and had to try to eat as if you were blind.

Teach, Learn, Share

Im basically a pro fisherwoman (kidding but I love it). I could teach you how to bait a hook, measure and kill a fish though Mark would have to teach you how to fillet it.
I could teach you how to patch, sew or quilt. I also love to talk about anthropology.
Mark has a passion for skiing. He could teach you to ski if there was snow, or he could tell you everything about it.
