People always say I'm adventurous, but I think they're just too stagnant. I'd love to travel much more than I'm able, and don't mind solo trips where I can really be flexible with my time. I love soaking up the culture rather than shuffling around with groups of tourists, but those city tours are often a great first step to acclimating and getting to know the richness of a destination.

While I like to see the highlights like museums, nature, etc, I really prefer to be low-profile and make new friends among the locals. I want to get to know like-minded people.

Films: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Cloud Atlas, Love Actually, The Last Emperor, Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence, The Lives of Others, Princess Bride, Labyrinth, Dan in Real Life, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.

Books: I don't read as much as I'd like, but enjoy popular fiction recommended by friends. Most recently reading The Night Circus. Very compelling...

I listen to about a dozen podcasts including She Explores, This American Life, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, Stuff you Should Know, Stuff You Missed in History Class, Snap Judgment, Invisibilia, Innovation Hub, and more...
