Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Brand new to this exciting concept! Having done my OE in the UK back in 1999-2001 I lived (and loved it) with a group of 13 people at one stage in a shared flat. Was a really cool experience & am looking forward to meeting people from all over the world on this trip to!

Interests

I have just resigned from my role in the Interior Design Industry & want some "time out" to travel around the South Island and see things in "my back yard" that I haven't had a change to see & do.
I have a vast range of interest, and quite sporty (like tennis, squash, netball, biking, gym) and definitely enjoy spending time in the outdoors.

Music, Movies, and Books

Have an eclectic range of music & movies that I enjoy. Bit of blockbuster, foreign films, live theatre & music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Riding a camel through the Sinai Desert, stopping at a Bedouin Camp overnight. Sleeping in the open & being amazed by the night sky vistas!
Flying in a two seater plane 100m above the ocean, along the coastline of the South Island to Kaikoura. Breathtaking!
A days deep sea fishing in the Bay of Islands "living my dream" with the views, the catch & the experience afterwards of enjoying sharing the fish cooked on the bbq back at the backpackers with a group of travellers who would otherwise not have tried Kingfish & Groper
