To see the world and explore beautiful places!
I'm friendly and pretty easygoing unless deprived of chocolate! By nature a wanderer and dreamer.
Tout Est Possible.
(If I were a medieval noble house, that would be the motto at the bottom of my crest. My actual family motto is "Tout Pret.")
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am absolutely new to CouchSurfing so far, but I look forward to learning more about it and gaining some experience when I have the chance to travel!
Travel -- especially in places that I've got a personal interest in, writing -- of the fiction-humour-fantasy varieties, reading -- poetry and fiction and anything that strikes my fancy, horseback riding -- which I don't do enough of, fencing -- because I find it an extremely elegant and enjoyable sport, music -- playing the violin as well as listening to a variety of kinds, talking -- because I do it a lot, sailing -- small boats mostly but I've done a tall ship once.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing a fin whale swim about ten metres away from the sailboat I was on. Then, a few minutes later, running to the bow to watch the dolphins play! Also, watching the sun set over ancient petroglyphs so that the shadows cast on the stone made the carvings look alive.
Teach, Learn, Share
Important lessons I've learned while traveling:
-Bannock can either be delicious or the worst thing in the world, and this largely depends on whether you paid attention to ingredient ratio.
-Languages are important. If you don't know a language, though, you can always communicate through mime.
-RealFruit Gummies are good betting tokens.
