About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm half way through a masters that I want to then apply towards a PhD in language science

ABOUT ME

Since my younger years I have moved at a very fast clip between countries. Once in the country however, I move pretty slow. Enough that is to pick up some languages, read some great books and write some stories.

PHILOSOPHY

I try not to form one. Every time I get close to one I find myself trying to improve it and whew, that just never stops. You can drive yourself crazy that way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We shall see. I figure I need a couch before I can volunteer one to the cause.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to participate in CS although in my lifetime I have slept on quite a few couches, slings, floors, porches, back yards, barns and beaches. My back is still in good order despite all the punishment I've put it through.

Interests

Things that rock my boat would include studying languages, and literature. I love a good talk over cheap beer or passable table wine. I try to dance from time to time but continually harp on myself for not doing it more often. I actually enjoy talking about politics and religion even though I know for most people those are no-nos.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all three but pay more attention to books seeing as it mirrors more my aspirations as well as my personality. I read a great deal of current and old fiction. The last short story that really rang my bells was by Wells Tower, Everything Ravaged Everything Burned

Teach, Learn, Share

I've taught English for the last 10 or more years and can say with surety that learning doesn't happen via osmosis. That would be a great trick though, if someone offered a couch pillow with head phones.

Argentina, China, Colombia, Egypt, France, Germany, Mexico, Spain, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates
