3rd North American Kagyu Monlam in SF Late June to Early July 2012
I practice Buddha Dharma all the time as taught in the Tibetan Schools of Buddhism. I love to ride bikes and walk around without a destination in mind. I love animals of all kinds and have a special connection with most furry creatures. I like good food but just a little at a time. I like to get outside and talk to people, hear their stories, and make new friends even if we never speak again. I don't wear robes outside of retreat but I live fully in the fashion of a modern Buddhist Dharma student.
So most of the time i am practicing, reading, and traveling to attend an event of some kind to receive teachings and visiting places that have to do with that subject.
May all sentient beings enjoy happiness and the causes of happiness
May all sentient beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering
May I become at all times, both now and forever
A protector for those without protection
A guide for those who have lost their way
A ship for those with oceans to cross
A bridge for those with rivers to cross
A sanctuary for those in danger
A lamp for those without light
A place of refuge for those who lack shelter
And a servant to all in need.
I am a devotee of the Dag Shang Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism who are known to be very nonsectarian even for Buddhists.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am looking to Surf only right now since I am traveling and receiving teachings all Summer. I am very flexible and sensitive to the needs of my host. I would be very grateful if you could help me to receive these precious teachings so i can help others now and in the future.
I have no experience on this site but have spent lots of time sleeping on floors, in the back of trucks, airports, camping, you name it. I am not homeless but you could say I have some training thanks to seeking Buddha Dharma teachings. I do what ever it takes.
