We're a 38 year old couple (together for 3ish years). We are very open, honest, and believe strongly in full disclosure so that everyone can make fully informed decisions about what they want to deal with. We aren't the kind of couple with fighting and drama. . . Minor irritations pass quickly. We talk through things and move on.

I am a strong, independent female, who bought this house myself 5 years ago. . . I have a teenage daughter who is off to college. She'll occasionally be home on the weekends, sometimes with friends, but she is VERY active in the outdoors and usually just pops in to shower and restock before she is off on another adventure.

I quit smoking cigarettes cold turkey just after Christmas, haven't had a drag since. My bf quit a few months later, but has had far less success. Quitting is still the ultomate goal, however, So we would prefer nonsmokers. We're 420 friendly, with a 215 card, outside only.

We occasionally have friends over for cocktails, swimming and bonfiring, but usually we go out to be social. We have hosted a couple of "parties" a year for the last few years. . . And sometimes do a family friendly bbq/pool party in the summer. We are hashers (google Hash House Harriers) and go out a few times a month drinking and running/walking with our debaucherous friends. Often in costumes (I have 6 boxes of costumes in my storage shed), or cross dressed, or just looking like fools. We have dirty minds, potty mouths, and laugh at inappropriate things. Our gatherings range from athletic hikes/runs to pub crawls, with occasional events getting rather rambunctious and frat-like...

We're DIYers and have improvement projects going all over the house & yard. We will be moving walls, within the next few years. Admittedly, we're better at starting projects than finishing them. Just like we're better at dirtying dishes than washing them and putting them away (why is unloading so much more difficult than loading?). But we've been focused on improving both of these characteristics lately and have been fairly successful.

I'm an religion-tolerant atheist and a devout Bernie Sanders supporter (even though I don't agree with 100% of his points of view). I am fascinated by religion and love to talk through different points of view. . . So long as it's a friendly debate and we can all agree to disagree in the end.

We are free spirits, painting the walls whatever color we like, painting murals on the fences, cutting holes in the walls for my cats, converting the front yard to a veggie garden, skinny-dipping when no one is home, laying on the roof to star gaze, etc. We work M-F, and spend most of our evenings at home working on the house or binge watching some new show on Netflix/Hulu/Amazon (no cable).

We are generally happy and in a good mood. Always try to look on the bright side of things, and to find solutions to problem areas. We believe that most conflicts are just misunderstandings that can be solved with an open, honest, non-defensive conversation. Compromises and win-win solutions are available everywhere and easy to find if everyone is honest and open.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love crime/legal & medical shows, but my bf is more sci-fi/fantasy. But we watch all the epic shows, GoT, TWD, SoA, etc. We probably drink 2ish nights a week; usually just a cocktail or two. We also read a lot! I love to chat about books! :)

I am a lifelong learner and would love to expand my knowledge in the following areas of current interest: organic gardening, repurposing, preserving, canning, going green, composting, Wicca, meditation, yoga, solar, bat houses, working out, losing weight, balancing gut bacteria, cooking vegan, burning man, music festivals, becoming an ex-pat, backpacking through Europe, living off grid, tiny homes, etc. My bf is currently researching building a forge to smelt metal and make swords, as well as building a still. . . If you've got home building/landscaping skills you'd be willing to share, that's a huge plus for us. I just read Rich Dad Poor Dad (I have no idea why it took me so long to try it) so I'm super interested in learning more about investing in stocks/bonds/real estate/legally dodging taxes/starting a corporation/etc.

I'm a business analyst, who is excellent at Excel, creating/updating resumes, and enjoy philosophical debate.
