About Me

Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.

Hello!

My name is Kasia, I work in the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry.

I also work in the Cultural and Educational Muslim Center in Poznań, where we organise for Poznan inhabitants a lot of interesting events like “The Day of the Muslim Culture”, “The Night of Museums”, “Meeting with henna”, “Ramadan’s Day”, “Discover Islam” etc. Breaking negative stereotypes about people from Muslim countries is our current mission and it gives me a lot of satisfaction. My activity at the Muslim Centre is related to my passions, because organising events requires creativity, therefore I can get more information about different cultures and work with people from all the world.

More information you can find in the link below:

As a traveller I’m still a beginner, but I’d like to explore a lot of interesting places, learn about other cultures, meet amazing people, try local food (even weird).

My personality? Friendly, open minded, creative and kind . I’m a dreamer- because I’m dreaming of sunny countries with interesting cultures, smiling people and tasty food :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why Couchsurfing?

Well, I’m not experienced with couchsurfing, but I belive there is no better way to explore a country than staying with locals.
In my opinion meeting people from all the world is like the best adventure, because always I can learn something new!

Interests

My hobbies? I like travelling, drawing, painting, reading books, henna tattoo. I can’t imagine my life without pets (my rabbit rules at home). I love sun and I’m addicted to sweet chocolate :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing? Hmm… I can describe one amazing situation. It happened in Indonesia (Jogja). I met there an Indonesian teacher and she invited me to Islamic Boarding School where she works… Well, I thought I would take some pictures of school, but in fact she didn’t inform me that around 160 girls (students) were waiting for my speech! I was really shocked. The speech was about Poland, Islam in Poland and then the girls asked me about scholarship in Poland and my opinion about Indonesia. In fact I was the first “bule” (white tourist) they had ever met, so the girls were very surprised and happy. I was feeling there like a movie star, because all of them wanted to talk, touch me and take a lot of pictures. It was an amazing experience, because that evening I brought them a lot of happiness.
