About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Wander into Europe, be mostly lost most of the time and still have fun

ABOUT ME

I love books, wine, fancy soaps, a good long laugh and Pablo Neruda. Everything outdoors is also awesome :) Especially hiking, biking and the occasional napping. I'm a novice powerlifter and have recently started dabbling in olympic lifting as well. A 2011 uni graduate with a degree in international relations, I'm dying to fall in love with unknown people, places, foods, sounds, smells, everything!

PHILOSOPHY

Be present. Be mindful. Shake the world.

Concise, but I feel when I keep these 3 things in mind I am a more happy, aware, grateful and proactive person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a couchsurfing noob, but I have heard fantastic things from friends

Interests

Tea and coffee, powerlifting, getting good book recommendations, the beach, Latin America (next on my list after W.Europe), impressionist art, the ever elusive pull up (I WILL master them!), LBDs and learning/doing new things

Music, Movies, and Books

Above all, I love music that makes me want to dance, get up and go! I love Pablo Neruda, Paolo Coehlo, Mark Twain and cheesey scifi books. Bad scifi movies are my guilty pleasure! There are few better ways to spend an evening in than with friends, wine and a bad scifi movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the human body is amazing and I love testing the limits of mine. One recent achievement of mine that I thought was pretty amazing? Deadlifting more than my bodyweight, awww yeaaah.
I swam with wild dolphins once and that felt very special!

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmm, well I do know that garlic has both antibacterial and antifungal properties - middle of no where camping and have a cut but no first aid kit? I hope you brought a clove of garlic cause that stuff is freaking magical in its number of uses!
